How ReviewStudio Works in 6 Steps 1 Create a Review Once you’ve set up an account, go to your dashboard and click “+ New Review”. You’ll have a few options to choose from, such as deadlines, designating your client and projects, a description and more. You will then upload your files from a wide range of formats that you’d like proofed in your Review. 2 Share for Feedback With all your files in a Review, you can now add users to the Review, set them as approvers (or not), and choose to enable guest access if needed. Then simply share the Review with your team when it’s ready for their feedback and approvals, notifying them via the app or by sharing a link. 3 Markup and Annotate When users click the link, they land on the Review Canvas, where they’ll access a range of intuitive tools to leave precise feedback. There are text markup options for documents, a range of video-specific options, tools to interact with web content, and markup tools that apply to all formats. As your reviewers leave their feedback, the markups will appear as comments in the comment sidebar. 4 Get Clarity Need to clarify something? All comments are threaded and synced in real time. Need faster input? @Mention someone to get their immediate attention. Want to assign feedback? Turn it into a task. There is also a broad range of filtering options, as well as the synchronized Present Mode to help get you clarity in real-time. 5 Upload a New Version With feedback in, tasks assigned, and everyone aligned, your team can make the revisions and upload the new version into the Review. In ReviewStudio, versions are collated and sequential, so you are always looking at the most up-to-date version. You can still access previous versions, with feedback on older versions locked by default. With Compare Mode, you can view any two files in a Review side-by-side, with options to highlight differences and synchronize navigation. 6 Get Approval Once revisions are completed, approvals are given right on the Canvas. You have options for “all or any approvers”, customized approval messages, workflow automations, and approval workflows. Approval (and rejection) decisions are stored in the Review history for record keeping. It’s much simpler getting approved when there’s nothing to download, everything is centralized and with a highly intuitive interface. A Review consists of one or more files that you want to have reviewed and approved together. You can include an unlimited number of files, versions and formats within a Review. The number of active Reviews available will depend on the limits of your plan. The Basics of Review and Approval: Canvas Markup, Annotation Tools and Submitting a Decision How long does it take to get started with ReviewStudio? Five minutes is often enough to get started. Who can be set as an Approver? Can Guests be Approvers? Any user or guest can be designated as an Approver on any Review. There may be multiple Approvers on a Review. You can designate Approvers from the Review Share menu. How does an Approver leave their approval decision? If a user is designated as an Approver, they will see a “Submit Decision” button in the Review Canvas for each file that is included in the Review. The options include “Approve”, “Approve with Changes”, “Rejected”, or “Revisions Required”. Note that these options may be customized for by the account admin. Managing and Submitting Approvals How is content shared securely? Access to content for review is strictly controlled by user roles, as set by admins. Sharing can be done via in app notifications, direct emails or link sharing – all requiring user authentication prior to content access. Link sharing offers access to external users or guests with more flexibility, with optional passwords.
