In late August, we were proud to be a sponsor of D2 Vienna.
It was high on our list of events to attend this year, but unfortunately, the in-person event had to be canceled.
In its place Jason Bergeron and Fabio Palvelli put on a great virtual event attended by tens of thousands of professionals and CGI enthusiasts. We were excited to join other sponsors such as AMD, Autodesk, Unreal Engine, Maxon, N3D, Cgarchitect, Pulze and more in supporting the arch-viz community.
Our mini-workshop was titled “Harnessing the Remote Paradigm: How to Build a Stronger Creative Practice With Online Review, Collaboration and Production Management.”
Joining us was Spencer Rand of Cicada Design to look at how teams can adopt new practices to address the need to produce and review work remotely. How can tools be effective at addressing the flexibility and collaborative requirements of this new work paradigm?
Cicada has been able to successfully deliver award-winning content, with online proofing playing a key role. In the workshop we discussed how they use ReviewStudio to facilitate client reviews, streamline revisions and foster collaboration across their entire production team.
Of particular interest was an in-depth look at how Cicada structures their review workflows to adapt to the specific demands of their various clients. With some clients they adopt a more inclusive review workflow while with others they maintain a more formal separation between their internal and external approvals cycles.
All in all, a big thanks to Jason and Fabio for the tremendous effort they put into hosting this year’s remote conference and we look forward to seeing everyone in person next year!
