In many organizations, content often has to be routed through many stages of approval before finally being released. Keeping track of what stage a file is at and who should be involved at each stage can be a daunting task for any project manager. It’s easy for schedules to slip as tasks are overlooked, or content is not reviewed in a timely manner.
To address this requirement, we’re excited to announce the availability of our new Approval Workflow Automations feature.
Using approval workflow automations, an Admin can now define workflow automations that specify any number of stages of approval that a Review must go through for completion.
Each stage of a workflow indicates who should be involved in that stage, who should approve, any deadline that may be required, and the specific notifications that should be sent to each participant when the stage begins. These notifications are created in advance by using notification templates.
Each stage also sets the goal required to advance the content to the next stage of the workflow.
Workflows can be complex such as the typical stages required for pharmaceutical or CPG packaging:
Or workflows may contain as few as two stages for simple client review situations.
Admins can easily track the progress of each Review from the main Dashboard. Each Review card progressing through a workflow will display the current stage the Review is in. Dashboards can also be filtered to display only the reviews relating to a specific workflow. Using workflows consistently for all reviews can provide a more robust alternative for tracking review and approval progress in an organization.
